Everton v Fulham FA Cup 4th Round Betting Preview

The FA Cup 4th Round starts on Friday night with an all Premier League clash between Everton and Fulham. The hosts struggle to win at home, while the visitors have just a solitary away victory in the League, so who will prevail?

Advice
Fulham +0.5 Asian Handicap (7/8 with Bet365)

Form Guide

Everton have struggled to score goals all campaign. The Goodison faithful have witnessed just 11 goals from the home side in the same amount of contests. Despite the return of Louis Saha and Victor Anichebe in recent weeks, the Toffees have been held to 1-1 draws by Blackburn Rovers and away at Aston Villa. In Round 3 against non-League Tamworth, Everton bagged just two goals, one of which was a penalty.

Due to the lack of goals, the home record for the Blues is pretty disappointing. They have won just 3 from 11, against Wolves, West Brom and Wigan – the most recent of which was in November.

Visitors Fulham have problems of their own. Away from Craven Cottage they have picked up just one League victory – at Wigan. They have however, drawn 5 on the road, including tough trips to Arsenal and Chelsea. A stubborn defence means the Cottagers are rarely out of a contest, they have let in just 14 goals away.

Verdict.

Everton are widely available at just a shade over even money. For a team who has won just 3 at home, that seems extremely short. Backing Fulham outright however requires a real leap of faith – but keeping the draw on side by going Fulham +0.5 on the handicap offers genuine value. Everton win just 27% at home, Fulham lose 45% of the time away, so 7/8 (at Bet365) gives enough value to oppose the hosts.
