FTOPS XV now Finished, JackQKA Wins Main Event

The fifteenth Full Tilt Online Poker Series drew to a close this weekend, with “JackQKA” coming out on top in the $500 + $35 Main Event, after a seven way deal was agreed. The No Limit Hold’em tournament drew 5,645 players for a total prize pool of $2,822,500 and brought the curtain down on another successful FTOPS.

The penultimate event was a Heads Up Pot Limit Omaha contest with $204,800 in the prize fund. British pro Dave “El Blondie” Colclough placed 19th for $1,638.40 and Jordan “iMsoLucky0” Morgan came 49th. The event was eventually won by “-Alt_F4_lIlIlll”.

Event 18, a $200 + $16 No Limit Hold’em “Cashout” event, was packed with online big guns including Andrew “fergwrx” Ferguson, Matt “Matt Suspect” Molinari and Ari “I Am Ari” Engel. Ferguson had started the final table with the chip lead but could only finish fourth. Molinari came second, losing out to “onjacktallback”, who took down the $54,699.42 first prize plus $21,073.42 in cashout money.

Full Tilt red pro Michael Craig made the final table of event 19, Cyndy Violette’s $200 + $16 Seven Card Stud tournament. He finished fourth for $6,800. Online pro Phil “USCphildo” Collins and “nadremark” made the last two, agreeing a split, before the latter came out on top.

The $300 + $22 Razz event hosted by “Miami” John Cernuto saw World Series of Poker bracelet holder Rami “Arbianight” Bouki bubble the final table for $1,575. The tournament was won by “axis67″, who beat “bizaaar” to win $35,550.

The two day event, a $2500 + $120 buy in No Limit Hold’em tournament featuring 794 players and a $2 million prizepool, was eventually won by “BadcardsAA” for $430,000. Brazilian Caio Pimenta was the biggest name at the final table, whilst Steve Yea busted out in eleventh.

“UnoffensiveNick” held on at the top of the FTOPS XV leaderboard, mostly thanks to a 5th place finish in the Heads Up NLH competition and 12th place in the HORSE, winning buy-ins to almost every FTOPS XVI event (a package worth around $8,500) plus a customised Full Tilt avatar.

There will now be a two week break before MiniFTOPS XV begins on March 10th – exactly the same schedule as FTOPS XV, but featuring buy-ins a tenth of the size, allowing poker players on a budget to get in on the action.

MiniFTOPS guarantees $6 million in prize money – do you have what it takes to turn a small buy-in into a huge score?
