FTOPS XVII Guarantees $19 Million

The Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) has returned with a bang, offering online poker players the chance to win a share of a guaranteed $19 million prize pool. The seventeenth instalment of the FTOPS will feature an impressive 34 tournaments spread over a wide range of poker formats, including the groundbreaking Rush Poker, introduced by the Full Tilt Poker team earlier this year.

FTOPS XVII will feature six Rush Poker tournaments in all – twice the number seen at FTOPS XVI, where the tournaments were given their FTOPS debut. The events were well received by players and pundits alike, leading Full Tilt Poker to increase the number of Rush Poker tournaments this time around. For the true action junkie, August 11th sees a $207 + $9 buy-in “Super Turbo” Rush Poker tournament, which promises to be a high-octane affair.

Other highlights of the latest FTOPS instalment include the two day, six-max No Limit Hold’em event, which carries a $2,000 + $100 buy-in; the $500 HORSE tournament and the $600 + $40 No Limit Hold’em Main Event. Full Tilt Poker’s team of professional poker players will host the tournaments as usual, with the likes of Gavin Smith, Chris “Jesus” Ferguson, Huck Seed and Dave Colclough set to be involved in FTOPS XVII.

Each individual FTOPS poker tournament carries points towards an overall league table, the winner of which will earn themselves a fantastic prize package that will include entry to every FTOPS XVIII tournament (except the Two-Day Event) and is worth approximately $10,000.

As ever, there are plenty of other bonus prizes to be won too, not to mention the small matter of $19 million in guaranteed prize money, such as the limited edition FTOPS jackets for all competitors qualifying for a final table and the custom Full Tilt Poker avatars for those players who are lucky enough to win an FTOPS tournament.

For the online poker enthusiast on a budget, the MiniFTOPS series begins on September 8th and runs an identical schedule of tournaments to that of the regular FTOPS, only the buy-in of each poker tournament is scaled down to around a tenth of the size.

MiniFTOPS events also carry bonus prizes, such as jackets for final table players and there is also a MiniFTOPS leaderboard with an identical prize to that of the regular FTOPS. The MiniFTOPS Main Event will be held on Sunday 19th September and is a $70 + $5 No Limit Hold’em tournament.
