Unlike many other casino-based games, Keno works in a similar fashion to the Lottery. Outside of the casino, the game is commonly played in restaurants, bars and other public places, and also publicly on TV in some countries.

To play, you need to pick several numbers on the board and wait to see whether they come up in the draw. These playing strategies are not sure-fire guarantees of success but they can make it a bit more likely that you will be lucky when choosing your numbers.

1. Spread your bets, but not evenly
To maximize your likelihood of winning, it can be beneficial to choose numbers from both the top and bottom of the board. While it is true that the numbers that are drawn can come from anywhere on the board, spreading your choices across different areas of the board can increase the chances of your particular numbers being drawn. Numbers that are located close together on the board may be drawn together in the short term, but you need to think about your long term strategy and choose a range of numbers to hedge your bets more effectively.

Don’t make the mistake of trying to distribute your numbers evenly across the board though, random numbers are more likely to occur in clusters across the board than evenly spaced. There are simply so many more ways to cluster numbers than to space them evenly, making it a more likely outcome.

2. Place the maximum number of bets
Increasing the number of bets that you place can significantly increase the likelihood of winning with at least one number. In many cases, you will be allowed to place a certain number of bets per game and it is useful to take advantage of this. To avoid exceeding your bankroll, you may need to reduce the amount that you place on each bet. Be aware that increasing your number of bets may make it easier to match one or two numbers, but it does make it more difficult to match most or all of your numbers.

Beyond this, there are no set strategies that will determine which specific numbers should be chosen. You cannot analyze which numbers have come up recently to predict future patterns as the Keno number balls are not taken out of play after they have been drawn, and it is entirely possible for the same number to be drawn in consecutive games. Likewise, you may not see certain Keno number balls for several days. As the numbers are drawn on a random basis, there is no way of knowing which ones will come up next.
